Alan Jackson's final live performance will air on NBC on December 8. Viewers can also stream the program on Peacock on December 9. The broadcast captures the country singer's last concert, marking the end of his touring career.

Jackson performed at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on June 29. The venue sold out for the event. He sang several well-known tracks, including "Chattahoochee," "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," "Remember When," "Gone Country," and "Livin' on Love." A live album titled "The Last Show: One More for the Road. The Finale (Live from Nashville)" will include music from the night.

Numerous artists joined Jackson on stage during the recording. The guest list includes Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, and Little Big Town. Other performers were Jake Owen, Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson, Lee Ann Womack, Adam Wright, Big City Brian Wright, and Carlisle Wright.

The special documents Jackson's catalog of hits spanning more than three decades. It positions him among the genre's leading songwriters. Jackson was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2018. He also joined the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011.

In 2021, Jackson disclosed that he had lived with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease for at least ten years. This degenerative nerve condition causes damage primarily in the extremities and can affect a person's ability to walk. The diagnosis influenced his decision to step back from regular touring.

Sam Wrench directed the television special. Wrench previously directed the 2023 film "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" and the "Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special" released earlier this year. His other concert films feature Sabrina Carpenter, Laufey, BTS, Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, Andrea Bocelli, and Mumford & Sons.

Joan of Arc StudioWorks and EverWonder Studio produced the special. Executive producers include Cindy Mabe, Dawn Gates, Harper Grae, Mike Antinoro, and Raj Kapoor. Jackson, Debbie Doebler, and RAC Clark also serve as executive producers. Allison Roithinger, Victoria Chamlee, and Danny Meiseles are credited as co-executive producers for EverWonder Studio.
