Trump Rallies Daytona Beach For Donalds

President Donald Trump traveled to Daytona Beach on Friday, October 30, for a joint rally with Republican gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds. The event took place with four days remaining before Election Day. Trump previously campaigned for Donalds in Fort Myers the prior week.

The rally was held to generate support ahead of the upcoming midterm election. Polls have consistently shown the 47-year-old Donalds ahead of Democrat David Jolly, though the race has tightened in recent weeks. Republicans have expressed concern regarding Jolly's ability to close the gap after Governor Ron DeSantis defeated Charlie Crist by just over 19 points in 2022.

On the same day, David Jolly held a stop in Tampa Bay on the opposite coast of Central Florida. Jolly met with undecided voters, seeking support for his campaign to become the first Democrat to lead Florida as governor since 1994. Trump campaigned alongside Donalds in Fort Myers last week, where he stated Donalds would make a "great governor" for Florida.

The president's return to Florida reflects Republican efforts to retain control of the governor's mansion for another four years. Jolly is campaigning to become the first Democrat to win the office since 1994.
