FlareFlow has registered 52 million users and offers nearly 7,000 short-drama titles to viewers in more than 200 countries and regions. The platform ranked first among all rights holders in TikTok's short-drama revenue-share rankings for the first quarter of 2026. On Wednesday, FlareFlow parent COL Group, along with V47 Entertainment and Virtue Asia, unveiled their 2027 vertical drama slate in Singapore.

Korean intellectual property anchors the 2027 lineup. The companies developed several titles with CJ Group, including "Idol Once Again," a fantasy about a washed-up idol who travels back in time for another shot at fame. "Genius Doctor Lee Mu-jin" adapts a webtoon about a street fighter trained by the ghost of a brilliant physician. "The Exclusive Secretary" follows a corporate heir and his secretary as they grow closer during a dangerous fight over family succession.

COL Group and V47 are developing three new originals. "The Vanishing Act" is a mystery about a magician who disappears on air during the final of an international talent contest. "Fortune Chasers" blends a scripted reality competition with thriller elements. "1% Better" is a sports and fitness reality format that pits unlikely rivals against one another.

The slate also continues three existing microdramas: "Oops, I Married My Bestie's Brother!", "My Sweetheart's a Gangster," and "From Janitor to Mrs. Billionaire." The companies plan to extend these properties through wider distribution, adaptation, and commercial tie-ups. They did not specify the format for these follow-ups.

The partners introduced Story Engine, an operating model that links development, production, financing, and global distribution. The structure combines V47's development arm, Virtue Asia's cultural strategy expertise, and COL Group's international distribution. Brands can serve as development partners, executive producers, or financiers, potentially holding a stake in the resulting IP.

Timothy Oh, chief marketing officer of FlareFlow and general manager of COL Group International, noted a real opportunity for brands to become part of the entertainment audiences choose to watch. David Webster, chair of V47 Entertainment, stated that the story must always come first. Lesley John, CEO of Virtue Asia, said brands must earn a place within culture through creative integration that feels native to the story.
