The Caribes de Anzoátegui have won six consecutive games in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League, standing at 12 wins and three losses. The team secured its latest victory on Thursday, defeating the Navegantes del Magallanes 6-5.

The result places the Caribes firmly in first place. The Navegantes, who held the title last season, currently occupy the bottom spot in the standings with a record of 3-12.

Omar Alfonzo provided the decisive blow for Anzoátegui. He hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning to flip the score. The Magallanes had held a 5-4 lead in the top of that same frame. Alfonzo has now hit four home runs this season.

Romer Cuadrado also contributed significantly for the winning side. He launched a three-run home run in the first inning and recorded a single that drove in a run in the third. For the losing team, Thairo Estrada and Eliezer Alfonzo each hit two-run home runs.

In Porlamar, the Bravos de Margarita completed a dramatic comeback against the Cardenales de Lara. The Bravos trailed 10-4 entering the eighth inning but scored four runs in that frame and three more in the ninth. David Peralta hit a single in the bottom of the ninth to cap the 11-10 victory.

The comeback was fueled by a seven-run offensive surge in the final two at-bats. Diosbel Arias tied the game with a single before Peralta delivered the winning hit. Edward Olivares led the Bravos with five runs batted in, including a solo home run and two two-run singles.

The Cardenales' best effort came from Yonathan Daza, who hit a three-run homer and a single. Víctor Bericoto added a home run and a two-run single for the defeat.

In other Venezuelan games, the Tiburones de La Guaira beat the Cardenales de Lara 8-3, powered by a four-run first inning. Justyn-Henry Malloy led the Águilas del Zulia to a 13-2 win over the Tigres de Aragua with five runs batted in.

In the Dominican Republic, the Leones del Escogido extended their winning streak to five games with a 15-8 victory over the Gigantes del Cibao. The Leones scored nine runs in the third inning. Jonathan Guzmán hit a three-run home run to make it 10-0.

In the Mexican Pacific League, the Algodoneros de Guasave swept a doubleheader against the Mayos de Navojoa to maintain their league lead. The Algodoneros won 5-4 in eight innings and 9-0 in seven, bringing their record to 11-3.
