WWE’s Crown Jewel premium live event will no longer take place at Riyadh Season Stadium on November 7.
The show is moving to a different location within Saudi Arabia, according to an announcement posted to X on Wednesday by Riyadh Season. The organization, which operates under Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, said all ticket holders would receive full refunds.
New tickets will return to general sale within 48 hours. Riyadh Season did not name the replacement venue in the initial post. OutKick Dropkick contacted WWE for further details on the logistics of the move.
The change comes as regional conflict intensifies. Crown Jewel was originally scheduled to be the third major WWE event in Saudi Arabia this year, following the Royal Rumble in January and Night of Champions in June. The country has hosted two of the promotion’s premium shows since late February, a period marked by escalating military activity.
Tensions rose sharply earlier in October when Houthis struck King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, killing more than a dozen people. The attack raised concerns about the safety of wrestling personnel and fans. The U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia subsequently ordered non-emergency government employees and their families to depart the country.
The embassy cited hostilities by Iranian-supported Houthis, including attacks on civilian airports and critical infrastructure. It warned that the conflict could escalate rapidly beyond the immediate area of strikes. The U.S. State Department raised travel advisories to Level 4 for Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen, urging Americans to avoid travel to those nations.
Saudi Arabia announced on Monday that its coalition shot down three ballistic missiles fired by Houthis toward the Eastern Province. Col. Turki al-Malki, the Saudi military spokesman, confirmed that air defenses intercepted and destroyed the projectiles. WrestleMania 43, the promotion’s flagship annual event, remains scheduled for Saudi Arabia next year.
